Born in Bali in 1979, Kadek completed his studies in Environmental Engineering at Auckland University in 2002 and worked for three years as an Engineering consultant in New Zealand. Raised multi-lingual, Kadek is a natural translator well known for his spontaneous literary interpretation at the Ubud Writers and Readers Festival. His translations have been published alongside the original in bilingual editions of Against All Odds by Idanna Puci, The Art of Learning by Doing by Sarita Newson and TERRA, an anthology of writing from WordStorm, the Northern Territory Writers’ Festival. Kadek writes a weekly column for The Jakarta Post.
